Project Task Force

The Project Task Force (PTF) is an advisory group to the grant project. Its purpose is to guide infrastructure development and capacity building. The PFT is co-chaired by the Lt. Governor and members include stakeholders, consumers, service providers, government leaders, family members, and private community members. The PTF’s goals are as follows:

1. Assess the status of the State’s co-occurring disorder services system.
2. Identify unmet needs, gaps and other problems within the system.
3. Develop and enact strategies to resolve these obstacles to care.
4. Build capacity and infrastructure to sustain a high-quality, integrated, and seamless system of care.

Infrastructure Development involves:
Conducting a state-wide needs assessment
Implementation of cross-system screening and assessment protocol
Exploring the need for cross-system credentialing process
Strengthening services co-ordination and expanding the network
Facilitating communication between providers, AMHD, and ADAD

Capacity Building involves:
Development and implementation of standardized screening and assessment protocols
Development of protocols for the treatment of individuals with co-occurring disorders
Training providers to conduct screening, assessment, and treatment
Evaluation to develop a system that embraces and integrates continuous quality improvement
