  • EBP Grant: The AMHD was successful in obtaining a SAMHSA funded grant in the amount of $940,000 for the introduction of two EBPS, the treatment of co-occurring disorders and illness management and recovery. The EBPs will be implemented in six community mental health centers and the impact of the EBPs and their changes upon consumers' outcomes and their satisfaction with the services that they received will be evaluated. The grant will also provide funding to train providers and other involved stakeholders in the selected EBPs.

    COSIG Grant: the Co-Occurring Disorders and State Infrastructure Grant will provide more than $3.5 million over five years to give treatment services to people with both substance abuse and mental health disorders. A collaboration led by the Lt. Governor's office, its main participants are the Dept. of Health's AMHD, and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, with assistance from the Depts. of Human Services and Public Safety. The grant hopes to build a seamless and comprehensive high-quality system of care for consumers with dual-diagnosis.
