This talk is on mental health in American Samoa. Population, geographic and historical factors influencing mental health will be reviewed. Organizational context (e.g., government programs, other social services, etc.) and cultural practices supporting healing and recovery will be presented. Ways to engage and help people of Samoan ancestry will be suggested.
