Strategic Planning

2007 - 2011 AMHD Strategic Priority Statements

1. Recovery-Based System of Care
Continue to implement and refine an integrated, consumer-centered, and recovery-based behavioral health system that provides culturally informed and evidence-based treatment and services.

2. Information Management
Develop and implement an information system that is user-friendly, accessible to all consumers and providers, and supports AMHD’s planning, service evaluation, business practices, regulatory compliance, and the recovery-based system of care.

3. Collaborative Relationships
Build and sustain collaborative relationships and written agreements with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve AMHD’s mission of providing a comprehensive, integrated mental health system that supports the recovery of adults with severe mental illness.

4. Business Practices
Develop and implement fiscally sound and accountable business practices that maximize funding, pay providers promptly, and procure cost-effective services that promote our recovery-based system of care.

5. Performance Excellence
Pursue excellence in all of our endeavors through the use of public accountable goals, performance measures, and data-based decision making so that the entire system of care and treatment is committed to meaningfully improving people’s lives.

6. Workforce Development
Create a sustaining workforce that possesses the knowledge, skills, competencies and compassion to help consumers achieve their goals through a comprehensive program focused on current and future workers.
