1. I (or someone I know) is experiencing a mental health crisis. Who can I call?
The AMHD Access Program provides a team of trained and experienced professionals to provide help to you or a family member in times of mental health crisis. We are there to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On Oahu, call us at 832-3100. On the neighbor islands, call us toll-free at 1-800-753-6879.

2. How can I get services through the AMHD program?
There are four ways:
• You may call the 24-hour Access line at 832-3100 on Oahu or toll free at 1-(800) 753-6879 and talk to them. They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week;
• A call can be made by a family member, health professional, medical insurance company;
• The court orders treatment; or
• You can go to the nearest Community Mental Health Center or clinic during clinic hours.

3. Am I eligible to receive services through AMHD?
• Adults who have persistent and serious mental illness.
• Adults who are in a state of crisis and need help for a short time.
• Adults who are victims of natural disasters and terrorism.
• Adults who are ordered by the courts for treatment.
• Individuals who are at least 18 years old. If not, you may be referred to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD).
• Adult individuals who live in the State of Hawaii.
